Hello there, fellow cosplay lover!

​I’m Katie, I love cosplay, crafting, cats and coffee. Okay, well, there are a few other things that don't quite rhyme which I also love including; sewing, kpop, acting, singing, and dancing. 

 

Background
I've been doing cosplay since 2018 and I still think of myself as relatively new to cosplay and crafting. Despite having heard of cosplay long before then, I never really tried it and in hindsight it's definitely a hobby I wish I had picked up much sooner! I’ve always been into art and textiles; I even went to an Arts College and then onto complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography!

Cosplay competitions
2024 was the first year I decided to start competing in cosplay masquerades and competitions. I am honoured that I took first place with my Karlach Cliffgate cosplay, from Baldurs Gate 3, at the Insomnia Gaming Festival i72 Cosplay Community Masquerade (March 2024) and then wining the Overall Winner at Fantasy Forest Festival for their Saturday Costume Competition (July 2024) with my Eowyn cosplay, from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. I definitely plan to continue competing as I love being able to bring my favourite characters to life on stage.

Events

I attend conventions and events around the UK, both as a Creator and regular attendee. If you see me, feel free to say hello as I love meeting new people and talking about all things cosplay!
